THE BIRTH OF G.F.C.C.

The thoughts of birthing a new idea are often shared with fear of the unknown. Pastor White’s long time desire was to start his own ministry, but God had not given him the green light, so he kept preaching and being obedient and following God’s plan.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells us “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

After much prayer and many conversations with God, the seed was being released into Pastor White’s hands..  In December 2019, Pastor White and Sister White began the cultivation process.  Their entire Christmas break was spent preparing the soil, so the seed could be planted.  From completing forms to filing papers, the name was approved, and the winter ground looked extremely fertile; the seed was planted in December.  The daily watering of prayer produced sprouts in January when the IRS paperwork was finalized.  On January 5, 2020, Pastor White announced that the ground had been prepared, the seed planted, watered, and nurtured, and producing.  Life was breathed into Greater Faith Community Church, and on January 12, 2020, Pastor White along with the following members: Associate Pastor, Doris Hogg,  Deacon Jimmy Mitchell, Sister Kimberly Mitchell, Sis. Breanna Mitchell, Deacon Chris Mitchell, Sister Jackie Moore, Sister. Arnita Horne, Sister Shaner Rowe, Sister Tiffany Taylor, Brother Timothy Collins, Brother Sigmund Brown, and Brother Marcus J. White praised God for the blossoming of new life and new opportunities to witness and grow His Kingdom.

We praise God for Pastor White’s vision and obedience to the plans and path that God designed just for us.  We pray that we continue to grow and spread the goodness and love of our Heavenly Father. Amen.
