GREATER FAITH

Pastor Marcus White was born in Marshall, Texas. He is a graduate of Marshall High School. Pastor White confessed his sins and received the Lord Jesus into his heart early in life while attending Mt. Zion Spiritual #2 in Marshall, Texas. Pastor White accepted his Call into the Ministry in 1989 and preached his first sermon on Easter Sunday in 1990 at Childress Deliverance Temple, Marshall, Texas. Pastor White has faithfully devoted his time and dedication to ministry in several capacities: Associate Pastor, Interim Pastor, Small Group Teacher, Adult Bible School Teacher, and Outreach Ministry. He has an undying passion for God’s Word and a passionate desire to teach and build a body of Bible-Led, Christ-Centered empowered people who desire to share God with all people. Pastor White stands firm on the motto that “Jesus is the Foundation at G.F.C.C and the Bible is the Blueprint from which we build upon. Pastor White has a Bachelor's and Master's in Theology from Texarkana Baptist Seminary where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also has a Bachelor's in Christian Leadership from Faith International University in Tacoma Washington. Desiring to stay abreast of the Gospel and trends directly related to leadership and ministry, Pastor White has attended Southern Bible Institute and WHW Leadership Conference. Pastor White not only believes in building up his congregation through the Word, but he also uses his God-giving ability to minister to the students in his classes at a local charter school. Pastor White strongly believes that his audio and his video must align; therefore, his GPS for his day to day operation is the Word of God. He strongly believes in Psalms 1 “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore, the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” In addition to being Pastor, Teacher, and Leader, Pastor White, is both a husband and father. He and his wife, Wanda are very excited about the mission that God has assigned to them and are committed to building His Kingdom through ministry at G.F.C.C.
